Kelly Lefferts

Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

Kelly Lefferts was appointed as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary in July 2019, following her role as Group Vice President, U.S. General Counsel and Secretary since September 2015.

As CLO, Kelly is responsible for overseeing the legal, compliance, and employee relations teams at Bloomin’ Brands. She first joined the company in 1997 as Corporate Counsel and has since taken on roles with increasing levels of responsibility.

Prior to her time at Bloomin’ Brands, Kelly worked as an attorney at the law firm of Foley and Lardner, specializing in general corporate and business matters, mergers and acquisitions, securities, executive compensation, and commercial lending.

Kelly has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving as a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Restaurant Law Center and currently holding the position of board chair. She is also a member of the Board of Directors and Governance and Nominating Committee of the Women’s Foodservice Forum, where she has previously served on the Compensation and Finance Committees.  Additionally, Kelly sits on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Home Society of Greater Tampa Bay.

Kelly holds an LLM degree from New York University, as well as a Juris Doctor degree and a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Florida. She was admitted to practice law in 1992.
