Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. Recognized For Advancing Gender Parity In The Boardroom

CEO David Deno will speak about the importance of diversity in a panel discussion

TAMPA, Fla. (November 18, 2019) – With nearly 40% female representation on its Board of Directors, Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLMN) has been recognized as a leader in gender diversity among S&P 500/Fortune 1000 companies. In support of the company’s commitment to enhancing boardroom gender diversity, David Deno, Bloomin’ Brands CEO, will participate in a panel discussion at the National Conversation on Board Diversity by 2020 Women on Boards.

The National Conversation on Board Diversity occurs annually on a single day in locations across the country. The Tampa event will be held at the Tampa Convention Center on Nov. 21.

Earlier this month, Bloomin’ Brands was recognized by the Women’s Forum of New York at its Breakfast of Corporate Champions for its achievement in female board representation. With a corporate board comprised of 37.5 percent women, Bloomin’ Brands exceeds the national average for female-held board seats, which is currently 23.4 percent.
